Analysing real-time information shared by the public on social networks to improve decision making and guidance

Social Network Monitoring (SONEMA) is used to analyse real-time information shared by the public on social networks, using certain keywords, to improve decision making and guidance. The central page is a dashboard gathering the required information for a specific term, such as “Anoeta Stadium”.

The dashboard provides an overview of the followers and fans on Twitter and Facebook – for today, the last 7 days, the last 30 days or the year to date – that have used or mentioned the selected term. Various graphical representations are available concerning tweet analysis, friends/favourites/followers analysis, mentions analysis for the last 8 days, and fan/“were here”/“talking about” analysis, in preferred zoomable time-series intervals.

The user can also see the latest tweets about the term, as well as a sentiment analysis produced for every tweet in the database referring to a specific term. An alert panel is also available to give information about predefined events that can be configured based on the project’s needs.

The “Influence” page gives information about the influencers and influencees for the selected term and evaluates them on a daily, weekly or monthly basis with the help of the Klout score. For a specific influencee, a visual analysis is provided for interpreting the Klout score.

On the “Demographics” page there is information about check-ins as well as likes and tips for the selected term, and also a map displaying the results for the term geographically.
